Spotlight On The Career Fair At
North Hill Elementary School 2001

Jane Bieri, Counselor at North Hill, planned this annual event.

Some of the students had the opportunity to sit in an ambulance and see how technology is used to save lives in an emergency.

 

Some students had the opportunity to sit in a police car and see how technology is used by the Minot Police Department.

Students from Erik Ramstad Middle School demonstrated their weather station.

Students at North Hill Elementary got a first-hand look at how technology is being integrated into the workplace during a career fair held at their school on March 20, 2001. There were representatives from following career areas:

  • Ramstad Weather Station
  • Photography Studio
  • Minot Fire Department
  • Roosevelt Park Zoo
  • Insurance Agency
  • Physical Therapy
  • Graphic Design
  • Computer Aided Drafting
  • Computer Systems
  • Souris River Telephone
  • Cardiac Rehab

Each representative gave three 20 minute presentations on how technology has been integrated into their work setting.

Career Fairs are a fun and exciting way for students to learn about the world of work and for them to see how the skills they are learning in school are applied in the workplace. The fair was planned by Jane Bieri, North Hill School Counselor. Thanks Jane for a job well done!!
