The Future of MP

Wednesday, January 7th, 2009

Hey Folks,

If you are reading this, you are one of the few. Many of you have probably realized this already, but I was holding out hope for quite a while. Last year, things slowed down quite a bit. Then, we had a long series of technical difficulties when the blogs were down for a few months. Then, we switched to new blogs that took another chunk of time away. Over the course of this…a few people moved away, some stopped posting, and others kept trying to plug away. Myself…I didn’t work very hard at it. While I’ve enjoyed the Magic Pens greatly, it is also a big chunk of time that I’m not enthused about giving up.

So, I will continue to try and keep these blogs up and operational. I will answer questions and try to help when I can…but I think we’ve had the last physical meeting that we will have. At least, with me. If you would like, I can see if another teacher wants to take over. I don’t know if anyone would like to, but I can try if people are interested.

Again…I’m sorry. This shouldn’t come as a shock, though. I wish you all the best.

Mr. G

OK.  So, I’m reconsidering.  Maybe we should see what can be accomplished without physically meeting.  Can the club continue in this fashion?  Are there enough people around to make that happen?  The short answer, of course, is simply that we will still have the blogs and the ability to write and comment.  Hopefully, some of that actually happens.

Stop by and see Noelle if you are here reading this.  See the cool stuff she’s up to.
